Brandywine Tomato The Brandywine might be considered the poster child of heirloom tomatoes. An old time favorite dating back to 1885, the Brandywine has superb flavor and a beautiful red to pink skin. Fruits are large and can grow up to 2 pounds. Brandywines are excellent for fresh eating or also good for canning, due to their easy to peel skin and low seed content. Enjoy this historic beauty! True Black Brandywine Tomato The True Black Brandywine was bred sometime in the 1920’s by dentist turned plant breeder Dr. Martin. He did not share his seeds often, so we are lucky we have these tomatoes today. They are a cross between the Brandywine and the original brown Beefsteak tomato, which is most likely extinct now. The True Black Brandywine is extra large in size and has a deep earthy sweet flavor that black tomatoes are known for. Excellent for cooking, salsa, and slicing! Black Giant Tomato Black tomatoes are native to the Ukraine and are known for their complex, bold, and earthy flavor characteristics. The Black Giant is a medium to large beefstake tomato with a good balance of acid and sugar. These are great for slicing or salads. Pineapple Tomato The Pineapple is a beautiful bi-colored tomato with yellow fruit and red marbeling throughout. It’s beautiful appearance, sweet taste, and citrus finish, makes the Pineapple a tomato of choice for fresh salsa. Rainbow Tomato A stunning tomato when sliced. This large yellow tomato (up to 2 lbs.) exhibits bright scarlet streaking throughout when sliced. A very sweet and flavorful tomato, perfect for slicing, salads, salsa, or even a fresh tomato sauce. San Marzano Tomato This much loved plum tomato is prized for its thin skin, thick flesh, bittersweet flavor, and low seed content. Some people equate the tomatoes bittersweet characteristic to a fine dark chocolate. The San Marzano may be your very best choice for sauces and canning. Gold Medal Tomato An excellent tomato for slicing, salads, and sandwiches. As its name implies, the Gold Medal is a yellow tomato, but has an interior red blush that is very pretty. It is a low acid tomato with a full sweet flavor. Gold Medals can get big, commonly over one pound per fruit with some reaching two pounds! Winsall Tomato The Winsall has been around since 1924 and originated from Horticulturist and Market Gardener Peter Henderson’s Henderson Seed Company. Winsall are large, typically one pound per tomato and have a pretty pink skin. They are sweet, tangy, and juicy. Winsall are a great slicing or salad tomato. Early Girl Tomato As its name implies, the Early Girl is an early ripening tomato making it popular with growers and consumers alike. For an early variety fruit it has exceptionally good flavor. Our early girl is a hybrid variety with crimson color inside and out. Its sweet flavor and firm flesh make it a good tomato for slicing and salads. You may also want to try oven roasting them. Delicious! Big Beef Hybrid An early maturing extra large tomato variety. Big beefs are dense fleshed and have a full old-time tomato flavor, despite their hybridization. These are super tomatoes for slicing or salads. Goliath Hybrid Though the name would indicate a tomato massive in size, the goliath usually grows to be a large, but not huge tomato, averaging about half a pound each. Sweet, round, and perfectly red, the goliath is the epitome of the perfect modern tomato.
