Recipe: Honey Walnut Pesto Pizza with Asian Pears

Ingredients

One recipe pizza dough using 3 c. flour (or prepared pizza dough from the grocery store) 1 head roasted garlic 1/3 cup pesto 1 cup crumbled gorgonzola 1 ball fresh mozzarella, sliced 1 asian pear, cut into thin slices 1/4 c. chopped walnuts 3 T. honey

Preparation

Preheat oven to 500° F. Punch dough down and divide into 2 portions. Roll each into a circle, leaving the edges a little thicker. Brush lightly with olive oil. Mash roasted garlic here and there over each pizza and spread thinly with pesto. Distribute cheeses over each pizza, and top with slices of asian pear. Bake for 6 minutes. Stir walnuts into honey to coat and sprinkle over each pizza. Return to oven until crust is crisp and cheese is bubbling, about 6 minutes longer.
