Greetings from the farm! Happy New Year! We hope you and your loved ones spent some quality time together to celebrate the holidays! We’re now entering the slow months at the farm where we focus our energy towards preparing for next year’s harvest, including exciting new offerings for our CSA community. One high priority of mine for the next few months is to get out and see as many of our CSA members as I can. We’ll be reaching out to our site hosts to schedule CSA member meetings at locations throughout the Bay Area. My goal for these meetings will be to discuss our Happy Child CSA, news from the farm, and answer any questions you might have. Please stay tuned for upcoming dates in your neighborhood. In a few minutes, Jeff Bordes (our Director of Marketing) and I will be heading to Sacramento for Governor Jerry Brown’s Inauguration ceremony, where we’ll be representing Frog Hollow Farm and the Happy Child CSA. We’ve been asked by Whole Foods Market to set up a Farmer’s Market Stand at this evenings Inauguration reception. I am very honored to be one of a handful of farmers representing California’s farming community at today’s event. Keep an eye on our website for a blog entry and photos from Sacramento.
