This is Frog\u00a0Hollow Farm's signature pear and for good reason. Too difficult to grow for\u00a0most farmers to consider it's never caught on commercially but Farmer Al has\u00a0never shied away from putting the time and effort into a fruit that tastes so\u00a0good. It has a classic European texture, very soft and juicy with a silky\u00a0sweetness that avoids the typical grittiness found in most pears.\r\n\r\n<strong>Hosui Asain Pears<\/strong>\r\n\r\nHosui have flesh, that while still crunchy has a more melting mouthful,\u00a0making the texture combination when eaten out of hand spectacular. Very juicy\u00a0and sweet with a milder pear taste, their round shape and beautiful golden hue\u00a0make them ideal for presentation with a distinctively Autumnal feel.\r\n\r\n<strong>Emerald Beaut Plum<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">A freestone plum, the Emerald Beaut is a delicate green that turns golden with\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">a hint of a blush. It has a firmer texture than the Santa Rosa with a crisp\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">almost crunchy mouthfeel. One of our most hardy fruit, the Emerald Beaut\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">just gets sweeter and sweeter without losing texture as it ages.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<strong>Dapple Dandy Pluot<\/strong>\r\n\r\nPlayfully called the \"dinosaur egg\" pluot, the Dapple Dandy has marbled pink\u00a0and green skin over delicate white flesh threaded with rose. Kids especially love\u00a0this pluot for its distinctive coloration and the lack of tartness in the skin.\r\n\r\n<strong>Flavor Heart Pluot<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe Flavor Heart gets its name from its distinctively tapered shape. Its meaty,\u00a0pale yellow flesh is very low in acid and the sweetness and color contrasts\u00a0strikingly with its dark purple almost black skin.\r\n\r\n<strong>Lamb Hass Avocado<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong><\/strong><em>Abounding Harvest Mountain Farm, \u00a0Los Gatos CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nLamb-Hass is a cross between the traditional Hass and a Gwen (Dwarf )\u00a0Avocado.
