Gilroy and other areas known for cherries got heavy rain last week, damaging up to 50% of their fruit. Here at Frog Hollow Farm we remained unscathed, with little rain and no damage to the delicious Brooks cherries that in your boxes. We still have more rain predicated in the days ahead, and then there's the dreaded <em>spotted wing drosophilia<\/em> to control.\n\nThis week you'll also have our two newest stone fruit varieties: the Apache apricot and the Rich Zee peach. The Apaches were developed by Craig Ledbetter of the USDA Pomology Research Station in Fresno and the Rich Zee is another Zaiger variety.
