Fujis are loved by many for their crisp, sweet, and juicy\u00a0character.\r\n\r\n<strong>Hayward Kiwis<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Chiechi Farm, Live Oak, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nOriginally known as the Chinese gooseberry due to its Chinese origins. Hawyward\u00a0Wright, a New Zealand nurseryman propagated his plants by grafting, and they\u00a0eventually became the preferred cultivar of growers due to their sweet flavor and\u00a0thin skin.\r\n\r\n<strong>Murcott Tangerine<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Twin Girl, Yettem, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nMurcott Tangerines are known for their rich flavor and deeply hued flesh and\u00a0juice. Their small size and sweet juice makes them a favorite with little ones.\r\n\r\n<strong>Hass Avocados<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Calavo Growers, Santa Paula, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nCreamy in texture, nutty in flavor, with a small to medium seed. The Hass skin is\u00a0easy to peel and darkens from green to purplish-black as it ripens\r\n\r\n<strong>Navel Oranges<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Twin Girl, Yettem, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nCalifornia Navel Oranges are considered to be the best Navels for eating out of\u00a0hand. They have a thick skin that is easy to peel, are seedless and have a meaty and\u00a0sweet flesh that makes them a perfect snack.\r\n\r\n<strong>Ruby Grapefruit<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Sundance Organic, Oceanside, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nThe Grapefruit is said to cross between the Jamaican sweet orange and the Indonesian pomelo, first documented in 1750. Ruby grapefruit was an accidental\u00a0discovery of a red fruit growing on a pink grapefruit tree.\r\n\r\n<strong>Albion Strawberries<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>JW Farms, Watsonville, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nThe Albion is a newer variety strawberry developed at UC Davis. It is ever bearing\u00a0and usually produces fruit June \u2013 October in the Bay Area. The sweet flavor and\u00a0firm flesh makes the Albion an excellent dessert or preserving berry.
