<\/a>\n\nNext Sunday, June 14th,\u00a0we\u2019ll be hosting our 4th\u00a0annual Summer Pick and\u00a0Jam. We began hosting\u00a0these events, so we could\u00a0offer our members a\u00a0regular opportunity to\u00a0get a respite from city life,\u00a0enjoy our orchards and\u00a0deepen their relationship\u00a0with Frog Hollow and\u00a0the fruit they enjoy each week. There really is nothing quite like picking a\u00a0soft peach from a lush green tree, taking a bite and feeling the warm juice \u00a0drip down your face.\n\nOur member events are centered around a casual day of fruit picking\u00a0and orchard picnicking. We chose this open format because we wanted\u00a0to make it easy for busy folks and families to come and go as they please.\u00a0Each year we add a little more to round out the day\u2019s activities. We\u2019ve\u00a0added a live bluegrass band, kids crafts, a tour of the farm and now this\u00a0year we\u2019re including a chace to stroll the veggie garden and chat with\u00a0Kristin, one of our lead veggie farmer's. Kristin will be available to talk\u00a0with people in our lovely new veggie garden and hopefully sampling some\u00a0fresh herbs.\n\nIt\u2019s busy times these next few days as we get ready for the event. Molly\u00a0is planning out her crafting, making sure she has the materials and volunteers she\u2019ll need. Kristin and Marlene are making signs for the veggies\u00a0garden to help folks learn about all the different plants their growing.\u00a0And of course, Lael is getting all the staff and logistics together to make\u00a0it all possible.\n\nWe hope you'll join us for another beautiful Sunday in the orchard.
