Over the last few months, we\u2019ve been learning about what our friends\u00a0at the Brentwood Agricultural Land Trust (BALT) are doing to protect\u00a0farmland in our growing region. In the face of intense development pressure, their work is essential in preserving farmland and the rich soil we are\u00a0so blessed with in Brentwood. During the week of August 23rd we will\u00a0hold a fundraising drive to support BALT\u2019s work. We hope you\u2019ll consider making a donation. We\u2019ll be back in touch with more information\u00a0in a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<strong>2.<\/strong> Sign the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/california-soils-need-your-help-seriously-160m-to-support-gov-brown-rebuilding-healthy-soils?source_location=trending_petitions_home_page&amp;algorithm=curated_trending\" target=\"_blank\">Change.Org<\/a> petition urging the State of California to allocate $160 million from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to help\u00a0rebuild healthy soils in California.
