It has a classic\u00a0European texture - very soft and juicy with a silky sweetness that\u00a0avoids the typical grittiness found in most pears.\r\n\r\n<strong>Fuyu Persimmons<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Chiechi Farm, Live Oak, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nThe Fuyu has a crisp texture with a rich honey sweet flavor. They\u00a0have a beautiful orange to red hue when ripe, often with tiny brown\u00a0speckles on the skin. They can be eaten out of hand with skin on or\u00a0peeled.\r\n\r\n<strong>Hayward Kiwi<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Chiechi Farm, Live Oak, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nOriginally known as the Chinese gooseberry due to its Chinese\u00a0origins. Hawyward Wright, a New Zealand nurseryman propagated\u00a0his plants by grafting, and they eventually became the preferred\u00a0cultivar of growers due to their sweet flavor and thin skin.\r\n\r\n<strong>Satsuma Mandarin<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<em>Terra Firma, Winters, CA<\/em>\r\n\r\nSatsumas are typically seedless with a thin skin that is loosely\u00a0attached to the flesh making them very easy to peel.
