
Fulfilling a member request, we had recently donated a box of fruit to the local, just around the corner from us, Discovery Bay scouting Troop 514 for them to have some healthy snacks on their hike.
To make strong headway into our goals of creating a stronger community and connection between the farm and our members, we are looking for volunteers to form a CSA advisory board.
Last week I was delighted to attend the annual Board of Directors retreat of the PCFMA. This year it was held in Monterey on historic Cannery Row.
On Tuesday the 11th, I visited with Rebecca Klein of Lafayette who is creating a wonderful new vision for CSAs and for connecting schools and churches with local farmers for their food needs. Her CSA site is located at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette.
