Ingredients:
3 ripe pears
6 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey (the clearer the honey, the more pear flavor will shine through)
Preparation
Slice the pears in half and remove their cores with a spoon or pairing knife. Cut the pears into a one-inch dice.
In a medium sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pears and sauté them gently for about 7 minutes, being careful not to break the pears. They will be tastier if their shape is in tact.
Remove the pears from heat, plate them and drizzle the honey over top.
These will be delicious on their own for dessert, or as a topping to toast, pancakes, yogurt, crème fraiche, ice cream… and you get the idea.
