Gilroy and other areas known for cherries got heavy rain last week, damaging up to 50% of their fruit.
Sarah, Jeff, Karen, Karina and I just went for a walk through the orchards to check out the new variety of peaches that are beating our cherries off the tree.
The cherry outlook is good…but late. They’ll arrive maybe a week to even 10 days later than last year which was the usual start date of May 15.
