Things are really moving now…. We’re actually seeing fruit on some early varieties! The Apache apricots have fruit, as do the Honey Rich apriums. And our newest addition to early harvest varieties is the Super Zee peach, which also already has fruit.
It is a beautiful day here on the farm. To the west is Mt. Diablo, covered in snow and towering 4500 feet over the vast central valley.
This simple recipe can be prepared well under an hour. As we continue to move into citrus season, consider trying it out with oranges, tangerines, or other heavy-skinned fragrant citrus. If substituting, based on average sizing, two oranges or three tangerines may be used in the place of the grapefruit.
