March is the month of madness here on the farm. We’re either angry at Mother Nature for warm, wet weather, or we’re delirious with delight for dryness.
Cafe manager / chef Mark Benedetto calls his Avocado Toast a cult classic – and one of the most ordered items at our Frog Hollow Farm Market Cafe in the San Francisco Ferry Building. All ingredients are sourced directly from the Ferry Building’s market. We’re excited to share his recipe for our Cafe’s Avocado Toast!
Things are really moving now…. We’re actually seeing fruit on some early varieties! The Apache apricots have fruit, as do the Honey Rich apriums. And our newest addition to early harvest varieties is the Super Zee peach, which also already has fruit.
It is a beautiful day here on the farm. To the west is Mt. Diablo, covered in snow and towering 4500 feet over the vast central valley.
